For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ.  But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this allsurpassing  power is from God and not from us.  We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair;  persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.  (2 Corinthians 4:69 NIV)

Paul's testimony of enduring trials and hardships should be encouraging to us today.  Paul gave us his secret to handling all trials, tribulations and temptations.  Paul's humble answer, "this allsurpassing power is from God and not from us."  Additionally, Malachi 3:6 tells us that God does not change and in Psalms 46:1, "God is our refuge and strength, an everpresent help in trouble.”  With a childlike faith we can trust in God to provide His allsurpassing power to help us through every challenge that comes our way.
