“The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is a servant to the lender” (Proverbs 22:7).

Debt can be enslaving. We should avoid it as much as possible.

 “In the house of the wise are stores of choice food and oil, but a foolish man devours all he has” (Proverbs 21:20).

Maintaining a proper balance between current spending and long-term saving is a sign of wisdom.
