Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.  (Hebrews 11:1)
 
Once we have received God’s promise about a certain situation in our life; namely, a word of encouragement in the midst of trials, we are able to let our worries go.  We may question our hearing at times, we may wonder if we have put words in God’s mouth, but despite our doubts, releasing the circumstances to him in faith is much easier because we sensed He has spoken.  God may speak in many ways, through many different voices.  But one thing is certain, His Word is truth, and when He speaks, we can safely let go, assured that we can count on Him.  When God speaks, it is our cue to stop striving and start trusting.  In faith, we can “be still, and know that He is God”.
