“I will praise the Lord at all times. I will constantly speak His praises.” (Psalm 34:1 NLT)
Since God gave us His best in the gift of His only Son, Jesus Christ, I often find myself asking if I am truly giving Him my best in return. As believers, we should be giving thanks when we first awake each morning. God’s Word says that we should enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise (Psalm 100:4). What does that really mean to us? It is recognizing He is God, even in our tough times when we struggle to turn away from our fleshly tendencies. Recognizing Him as God establishes His goodness in the center of our lives. Put Him first (Matthew 6:33) and ALL your needs will be met. I encourage you to take God at His word in this and let the sacrifice of praise begin. God will show Himself true even like the psalmist said unto “granting you the desires of your heart” (Psalm 37:4).
