WALK THIS WAY

Want your kids to be more than just kids raised in a church?  Want your kids to have a living, active relationship with Christ?   Well, don’t just “talk the talk,” you need to “walk the walk.”  Proverbs 20:7 NLT says, “The godly WALK with integrity; blessed are their children after them.”  I’ve been attending church a long time.  Even though I tried to be the same at home as I am at church - I’m still putting  on a front.  We can’t do that with our kids.  They see us at church AND at home. They don’t buy into the “do as I say not as I do” philosophy.  My kids know after twelve hours of “wakey-wakey” I am “grumpy-grumpy.”  Sometimes I have to repent for snapping at my kids (and wife).  This is where the gospel power in our heart meets the path of our life.  In 1 Corinthians 4:16 NLT Paul states, “...follow my example and do as I do.”  We must succeed in letting Christ live in our hearts and through our lives.  We must die to ourselves each and every day.  We must decrease and He must increase.  Our children (not to mention the rest of the world) are watching.  Walk worthy of your calling.                                                                                                        ̴  Kip Brumm
